A person who has the thought of destroying his own family is narcissistic. Those individuals have no sense of sorrow or grief, even when murdering their family. There has been a different chilling experience in which people have killed their own family, which is beyond horrifying. How could someone just destroy their happy family?

The recent case of familicide is the Watts family murders. In 2018, Chris Watt cold bloodedly murdered his pregnant wife- Shannan Watts, along with their 2 daughters. It is a case from the town of Frederick, Colorado, which has shocked the world.

Chris and Shannan’s marriage was already on the verge of being broken off. Both of them met each other in the year 2010 and got married after 2 years in North Carolina. They moved to Colorado afterward and had 2 daughters together. At the time of the murder, Shannan was pregnant with their 3rd child.

Shannan came home from a business trip at around 2 am and was reported missing along with her daughters by her friend Nickole Utfot Atkinson.

In the beginning, Chris didn’t really confess about the brutal murders and said he has no link with the case. But, on August 15th, he got arrested after he failed the polygraph test.

What was the intention behind Chris Watts Murders?

The Chris Watts confession came out after he failed the polygraph test. He said his reason for killing his own and whole family was an affair with co-worker Nichol Kessinger.

In Nov 2018, Chris Watts got sentenced to a total of five life sentences. With the hefty charges, he is known to stay in prison for his entire life. Also, Chris Watts has no possibility of parole and will remain in prison for the rest of his life.
